Everything you need to know about JUSTRA — registration, tax filing, compliance, and pricing.
JUSTRA is Nigeria's business compliance platform. We help informal businesses, artisans, freelancers, and registered SMEs get CAC-registered, NRS-compliant, and procurement-ready — all from one dashboard. Built specifically for the Nigerian regulatory environment, not adapted from a foreign template.
Any Nigerian business — from a single-trader bricklayer to a registered SME with staff. We have sector-specific compliance programmes for mechanics, builders, fashion designers, food businesses, furniture makers, and freelance professionals, plus a general rules engine that covers 40+ trade categories across every state.
No. JUSTRA is most powerful for businesses that are not yet registered — that's where the compliance gap is widest. Start with a free compliance scan, see exactly what you're missing, and use JUSTRA to register your CAC, get a TIN, and become formal step by step.
JUSTRA is built and operated by SERIALSETS LIMITED, a Nigerian technology company focused on digital infrastructure for Nigerian businesses. All legal content, templates, and compliance guidance on the platform are certified by KOSHER LEGAL, our regulated legal partner. CAC registrations are processed through KOSHER LEGAL as the accredited agent.
Accountants and lawyers handle one document at a time, charge per task, and disappear between filings. JUSTRA gives you a continuous, software-driven view of every obligation — what's due, what's overdue, what's about to lapse — and handles the routine work automatically. Use JUSTRA for the everyday compliance; use a professional for complex one-off matters.
JUS — Latin for law and justice, the foundation every business stands on. TRA — from trade and traverse, moving forward and crossing barriers. Together: navigating the law for business.
Business Name registration typically completes in 5–7 working days. Ltd incorporation takes 10–14 working days, depending on CAC turnaround. We submit through KOSHER LEGAL (accredited agent), so your application is filed correctly first time — no rejected forms, no resubmission delays.
Business Name (₦65,000) is a sole-trader registration — fastest, cheapest, suitable for solo artisans and freelancers. Ltd Incorporation (₦220,000) creates a limited liability company with full legal separation between you and the business — required for most government contracts and corporate clients. Corporate Package (₦580,000) is full corporate setup including shareholders' agreement, board resolutions, PAYE and VAT registration — for businesses going straight into multi-shareholder operations.
Yes — CAC requires a registered business address for any registration. It doesn't have to be a commercial office; a home address works for most artisan and freelance businesses. If you don't have one, JUSTRA can guide you on virtual office options that are CAC-acceptable.
Yes. JUSTRA supports cooperative registration, member onboarding, and member-level compliance tracking — built specifically for trade associations, artisan cooperatives, and market groups. Each member gets their own compliance scan and the cooperative gets a consolidated view of the group's standing.
Yes. Once your registration is approved by CAC, your certificate is issued in your business name and uploaded to your JUSTRA Document Vault automatically. The certificate is identical to one you would receive going to CAC directly — JUSTRA is the channel, not a substitute issuer.
Before submitting, JUSTRA runs a name availability check against the CAC database. If your preferred name is taken, we'll prompt you with three alternative options before the application is filed. There's no extra cost for the name search.
JUSTRA prepares your filings, tracks every deadline, and remits PAYE and WHT on plans that include filing assistance. For Sole Starter and Sole Trader plans, JUSTRA guides you through filing yourself via NRS portals. For Business and Growth plans, our integrated filing handles the submission for you.
JUSTRA covers all seven Nigerian taxes under the Nigeria Tax Act, 2025: Personal Income Tax (PAYE), Company Income Tax (CIT), Value Added Tax (VAT), Withholding Tax (WHT), Capital Gains Tax (CGT), Development Levy, and the 2026 informal sector levy. Sector-specific levies (NSITF, NHF, pension) are also tracked.
The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) was the federal tax authority until December 2025. From 1 January 2026, under the Nigeria Tax Act, 2025, FIRS is restructured into the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), which consolidates tax administration across previously fragmented agencies. All references on JUSTRA use NRS as the current authority.
Yes. Under the Nigeria Tax Act, 2025 (effective 1 January 2026), small companies with annual turnover not exceeding ₦100 million pay 0% Company Income Tax. You still need to file an annual return — the 0% rate doesn't mean "no filing obligation," it means no tax payable on profits. JUSTRA handles the filing.
PAYE: by the 10th of the following month. VAT and WHT: by the 21st of the following month. CAC annual returns: by 30 June each year. Company Income Tax: 6 months after your financial year-end. Pension contributions: within 7 working days of salary payment. JUSTRA sends reminders 7 days before each deadline.
Yes — on Business and Growth plans. Add each staff member, enter gross pay and reliefs, and JUSTRA computes PAYE using the 2026 bands (0% up to ₦800,000 chargeable, 15–25% above). PAYE schedules generate automatically each month, and remittance to the relevant state IRS is handled on Growth plan.
A strong compliance score (80%+) means your business is formally registered, tax-compliant, and permit-ready — the profile banks, corporate clients, and procurement officers look for. JUSTRA tracks your score in real time and shows exactly what to complete next.
JUSTRA scores your business across CAC registration, TIN, tax filing status, pension, NSITF, sector-specific permits, and state-level obligations. Each area carries a weight, and your score reflects how much of the required compliance is currently in place. The score updates in real time as you complete actions.
